Vision Statement
The members of the Holly Park Homeowners Association (HPHA) envision a Holly Park Community responsive to the needs and desires of its homeowners and residents. The Association sees an attentive City of Hawthorne assisting the citizens of Holly Park to mutually achieve an on-going clean, well-kept residential environment free of crime and of increasing beauty and property values. The Association Visualizes a cooperative relationship between itself and the City of Hawthorne and other governmental entities having jurisdiction in Holly Park in achieving and promiting a continually improving neighborhood.
The Association believes this Vision Statement, together with its Mission Statement, its Constitution, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and its Policy Statement substantially reflect the hopes, goals, governance, and positions it concludes are significant and basic in order to achieve its major objective which is the enhancement of the Holly Park Community and demonstrates the serios concern as well as the high ambition of its homeowners and residents to enrich the lives of all who live in Holly Park.
Mission Statement
- Provide a community organization and forum for addressing the continuing requirements of the Holly Park Community.
- Maintain, preserve, advance, and enhance the Holly Park Community of the City of Hawthorne.
- Support the processes whereby the Holly Park Community may appropriately and effectively address issues such as city services, safety, traffic, sanitation, community policing, beautification, and other questions and topics of interest to citizens of the commuity.
- Promote, harmonize, consolidate, and coordinate acceptable Association activities in the Holly Park Community.
- Serve as the primary interface between the Holly Park Community, the City of Hawthorne, its various departments, other community organizations within the City of Hawthorne as well as other appropriate organizations or groups.
Policy Statement
Is is the general policy of the Holly Park Homeowners Association, hereafter called the Association, to support worthwile goals, programs, or actions and to follow the administrative, executive, managing and regulating practices as delineated in the Governing Documents which are the Mission, Vision, and Policy Statements, Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations. The individual policy statements may be temporarily modified or even suspended if it is in the best interest of the Association to do so, otherwise policy statements contained herein are the operational criteria and requirements of the Association.
Therefore, the Association states it is their policy to:
- Generally support any and all programs andprojects, whatever their source or sponsors, which improve, beautify, modernize or better Holly Park.
- Generally support and cooperate with the City of Hawthorne, its Policy Department and any other city departments as well as any other governmental entities with whom the Association may interact.
- Generally support programs offered by any municipal, county, state and federal government entities as well as non-governmental organizations, whose purpose is the overall support of community homeowner associations and organizations which provide for the betterment of the community.
- Generally support and cooperate with other homeowner associations when appropriate in the City of Hawthorne and in the surrounding communities including the City of Inglewood, the City of Los Angeles, City of Gardena, City of Lawndale, City of El Segundo, City of Redondo Beach, City of Torrance and Los Angeles County areas such as Atehs, El Camino Village and Lennox.
- Give general political support for individuals, candidates and measures in the City of Hawthorne helpful to the Association and its goals.
- Accept responsibility for all proper and legal actions whether performed by the general membership, the Board of Directors, committees or other entities created by the Association to achieve its goals.
- Be transparent in all financial matters including financial record keeping requirements as detailed in the Constitution and Bylaws.
- Require a complete system of record keeping and presenration of papers created and published including any audio or visual materials and all documents of any sort, including financial records, and other types of records on paper, in digital form or in whatever manner it is kept as detailed in the Consititution and Bylaws.
- Create and maintain a Holly Park Homeowners Association Historical Records, called the Records, for easy access, use and review when necessary by members of the Association and a Holly Park Homeowners Association Historical Archives, for historical reference and posterity as permanent chronicles of all accounts, affairs and proceedings of the Association.
- Find a fixed, safe public location, such as Hawthorne City Hall or another appropriate city facility within the City of Hawthorne, to permanently store and maintain the Holly Park Homeowners Association Historical Archives.
